Passive House not only exceeds the
Al Sa’fat Platinum standard in Dubai, but also the requirements of
Estidama 5 Pearl in Abu Dhabi. The
OASIS project creates a unified energy-efficiency platform designed for rollout across all seven emirates of the UAE:
- Abu Dhabi — the capital and the largest emirate by area
- Dubai — the most prominent and densely populated emirate
- Sharjah — the cultural capital
- Ajman — the smallest emirate
- Fujairah — known for its beaches and mountains
- Umm Al Quwain — the least populated emirate
- Ras Al Khaimah — known for its rich history
A single standard for all emirates — from Dubai to Abu Dhabi — enables seamless integration into local building regulations and sustainability programmes. The project is also designed to scale across the
GCC (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain),
Central Asia (Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan), and
Mongolia.
